You’ve got a couple of days left to contact the good folks at the Montgomery Area Council on Aging.
And who are these area experts on aging? Well, they provide Meals on Wheels and several other valuable programs, so they’re good people, helping those in need.
And the lobsters?
These crustaceans are being sold as a fund raiser for $25 a pop. It’s a very worthy cause because the MACOA does good work. We’ve scanned in their poster to the right (if you click it, you can download a PDF file that contains an order form), but to get you in the mood, do consider this recent New York Times article about a Maine stand selling lobster rolls (and the consequences for a small town where the stand is located). And then, of course, there’s the best thing ever written about lobsters, the legendary David Foster Wallace essay, Consider the Lobster, originally published in Gourmet magazine in 2004.
